Applications open 2019 DST-SDC Media Fellowship for Reporting on Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation in the Indian Himalayan Region. 

CMS is organising a three-day State Level Media Workshop on Climate Change reporting at Agartala, Tripura from August 28-30, 2018 in collaboration with IHCAP. The workshop is aimed at orienting journalists on climate change adaptation with interactive presentations by experts and field visit. 

GIZ-CMS Media fellowship #Write4climate- A Step Closer to Climate Change: Selected Fellows for the year 2018. 


With the aim to orient journalists on climate change adaptation as well as local and state level initiatives along with interactive presentations by experts and field visits, Centre For Media Studies is organizing a Three Day Media Workshop in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh from 29th June – 1st July 2018.

In order to enhance the quality of climate change reporting in media, the Centre for Media Studies (CMS) in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEFCC) and GIZ is organizing a regional media workshops in Mahabubnagar, Telangana from May 22-24, 2018.

DST-SDC Media Fellowship for Reporting on Climate Change in Indian Himalayas: Selected Fellows for 2018

Feb 07, 2018 CMS organised a consultation during Evalfest 2018. 

Centre for Media Studies (CMS) under the Indian Himalayas Climate Adaptation Programme (IHCAP) of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and Department of Science and Technology (DST) GoI, are jointly organizing a series of media workshops on adaptation to climate change in the Indian Himalayan Region (IHR). In this series the eighth media workshop for the Hilly Districts of West Bengal will be held in Darjeeling from May 10 -12, 2018 at Central Heritage Resort & Spa in collaboration with the Government of West Bengal. Centre for Media Studies (CMS), New Delhi, under the Indian Himalayas Climate Adaptation Programme (IHCAP) and Department of Science and Technology (DST), GoI, are jointly organizing a series of media workshops on adaptation to climate change in the Indian Himalayan Region (IHR).

In this series the seventh media workshop for the state of Arunachal Pradesh will be held in Itanagar from April 10 -12, 2018 at Dorjee Khandu State Convention Centre in collaboration with Department of Environment and Forests, Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

Applications open for Media Fellowship Programme #write4climate- A step closer to Climate Change 

Vrikshdaan is a campaign initiated by Centre for Media Studies, ONGC Limited and ATP Films jointly to advocate for ‘Green Cremation options’ i.e. cremation by natural gas, electricity and solar energy.

In this series the sixth media workshop for the state of Nagaland will be held in Kohima from Dec 11 -13, 2017 in Kohima, Nagaland in collaboration with Climate Change Cell, Government of Nagaland.


Centre for Media Studies(CMS) in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEFCC) and German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) is organizing a media workshop on Climate Change on November 28-29, 2017 in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.

The third media workshop under the CMS-IHCAP programme on ‘Climate Change Reporting in the Himalayas’ will be held in Gangtok, Sikkim in the month of March.
