Coverage in Indian News Media COP 17/CMP 7

Media played an important role in communicating the deliberations that took place during the global summit. CMS ENVIS Centre on Environment and Media compiled the stories related to the Durban Summit that appeared in mainline news channels as well as in the prominent newspapers of the country. The monitoring of television news (November 21-December 17) and the news dailies (November 21-December20) was done during the respective timeframes. This study and analysis focuses primarily on how the Indian news media, both television and newspapers covered the crucial Durban Climate Change Conference.
