CMS Social conducted an assessment to understand whether or not the combinations of private site accreditation for providing safe abortion services and provider reimbursement are helping to improve the utilization of quality safe abortion services by poor women. The study also evaluates and documents influences as well as barriers in implementing the accreditation scheme through public-private partnership. Broadly, the study assessed the effect of the accreditation program in Bihar on improving access to, quality of, and increasing utilization of safe abortion services.
