CMS VATAVARAN is India’s pioneering international film festival and forum on environment and wildlife, initiated in 2002 to enhance understanding, appreciation and positive action towards nature, wildlife, climate and sustainability. Over the years, CMS VATAVARAN has emerged as a unique platform that uses films, forums, campaigns, workshops and outreach programmes to communicate complex environmental issues to diverse audiences. Through its competitive and travelling film festivals, thematic forums, capacity-building workshops and youth engagement programmes, CMS VATAVARAN has created a strong network of filmmakers, environmentalists, journalists, researchers, students, educators, civil society organisations and nature lovers in India and internationally.
CMS VATAVARAN also serves as the Global Secretariat for IUCN #NatureForAll, a global movement that inspires love of nature and action for its conservation. The selected candidate will also be expected to support relevant communication, coordination and outreach work related to #NatureForAll, as required.
We are looking for a young, motivated and well-organised Environment Communication Manager to support CMS VATAVARAN’s communication, project writing, event coordination, film festival work and environment outreach activities.
The candidate should have good understanding of environmental issues, strong writing skills, project coordination experience and interest in films, events, youth engagement and communication.
Compensation would be as per the industry preference and commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history of the selected candidate.
