A Baseline Study for WFP’s Food for Work (FFW) for Country Program (2008-13), 2008, UNWFP India

Brief about the project:World Food Programme (WFP), through its Country Programme (2008-13), aimed at enabling the poorest and most vulnerable people to meet their food needs, create and preserve assets and improve individual and community capacities, livelihood options and food security level of households in three states namely, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Orissa. The baseline survey undertaken by CMS social aimed at understanding the current status of the households, which will act as benchmark for the FFW programme in these states. Both quantitative as well as qualitative research approaches were used for collection of data and information in the study. The total sample size for the baseline survey was 6,325 households.
