CMS VATAVARAN is a pioneer in international film festival and forum on environment and wildlife in India was initiated in 2002 to enhance understanding, appreciation and shift in attitudes toward the natural world and it set conservation through films and environment forums. The festival acts as a catalyst in taking up multifaceted environmental issues, sharing available knowledge, highlighting the deep interconnectedness between sectors and issues and encouraging critical thinking. Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Communication & Festival Executive to assist in organizing film festivals and forums, manage communication strategies, and help execute events. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental issues and be adept at video editing, media production, and communication techniques. They should be able to work independently and as part of a team, while demonstrating excellent coordination, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

The details of the responsibilities include:

  • Assist in organizing film festivals and forums, including planning and executing events with attention to financial and time constraints.
  • Be well-versed with editing software to support the organization's multimedia needs.
  • Create informative and interesting short videos, infographics, posters, and related communication materials.
  • Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies through social media and newsletters.
  • Research and negotiate with vendors to secure the best combination of quality and cost for event-related services.
  • Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems as they arise.
  • Evaluate event success and submit reports for review and analysis.
  • Assist in maintaining festival databases and managing necessary updates.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and successful event experience for all attendees.

Essentials Skills:

The Communication & Festival Executive will be an effective team player, and well-articulated speaker, who should be able to perform exceptionally under pressure and produce high-quality outputs within stringent deadlines. In particular, the candidates should have:

  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in a relevant field.
  • Understanding of today's environmental problems.
  • Well-organized and an excellent coordinator.
  • Independent, innovative, and proactive, while also being a team player.
  • Proficient in written and oral English language.
  • Proficiency in video editing software, MS Office, media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Problem-solving ability.

Position: Research Executive (Consultant) (preferably female)

Consultancy Duration: 4-6 Months (Project Basis)

Location: South Delhi

Desired Skill set:

The incumbent with analytical bent of mind and having research experience with excellent report writing skills need apply only. Preference will be given to candidates who have been part of team to conduct primary data, both qualitative and quantitative, based social research and evaluation assignments.

Minimum Qualification required: Post Graduate in Social Sciences, Social Work or other relevant degree.

Minimum Experience required: Around 2 years in Social Development Research & Evaluation of policy, programme and project on issues related to public health, mother and child health, food and nutrition, WASH, among others.

Roles & Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct desk research
  • Assist in developing Research protocols and tools
  • Assist in orientation of data collection team in Delhi or outside Delhi, as and when required
  • Interact with concerned stakeholders at state/district levels, as and when required
  • Collation of qualitative data
  • Assist in developing reports and PPT presentations on proposal/findings, as and when required

Minimum Qualification required: Post Graduate in Social Sciences, Social Work or other relevant degree.

Minimum Experience required: Minimum 6 - 8 years in Social Development Research & Evaluation of policy, programme and project on issues related to public health, mother and child health, food and nutrition, WASH, among others.

CMS VATAVARAN MANAGER
LOCATION : DELHI

Eligibility:

  • Minimum Diploma/ Post Graduate in Environment or related subjects
  • At least five years of experience in a role promoting /advocating for environment issues.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Having network of environment /conservation organizations & individuals working on various environment and wildlife issues across India.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Planning & Guiding Process: Identifying eminent individuals, experts, corporate, etc for the Steering Committee & Advisory Groups; Conducting meetings; Implementing decisions.
  • Festival & Outreach Programmes: planning & designing programmes,identifying& engaging experts & consultants; identifying & finalizing topics; identifying organizations & institutes for partnering in outreach programmes; and documentation.
  • Support in networking with government, bilateral organizations, corporate, filmmakers, environmentalists, film festivals, media, academia, etc for partnership, organizing joint programmes, promotion, fundraising and participation.
  • Assist in promotion plan and media strategy including developing content for publicity material; content for press kit press meets and online/social media.
