Brief about the project:The evaluation aimed at assessment of the status and functioning of NCLP Societies and NCLP Schools and the effectiveness of various components of NCLP, with particular reference to the components introduced during the 10th Plan towards achieving the objectives of NCLP. Further it assessed the extent and pattern of complementary efforts of the state governments/ district administrations and implementing agencies in the implementation and monitoring of NCLPs; and to contribute towards policy formulation by suggesting specific plans of action for NCLP. The scope of work included visits to NCLP run schools and interaction with teachers, students, parents andproject officials at state as well as district levels.
