Key Responsibilities:

OPENING IN CMS VATAVARAN - May 2016
CMS VATAVARAN - International Environment and Wildlife Film Festival and Forum was initiated in 2002 to enhance understanding, appreciation and shift in attitudes on the natural world and itset conservation through films, and environment forums. The festival acts as a catalyst in taking up multifaceted environmental issues, share available knowledge, highlight the deep interconnectedness between sectors and issues and encourage critical thinking. Its unique twin track approach of organising competitive and traveling film festivals and environment forum has successfully created a strong network of Indian and international filmmakers, researchers, environmentalists, journalists, students and nature lovers. POSITION : CMS VATAVARAN - FESTIVAL DIRECTOR
LOCATION : DELHI

Eligibility:

  • Minimum Post Graduate in Communication/ Mass Communication/ Environmental Communication
  • Understanding of environmental issues and concerns is essential
  • At least 10 - 12 years of experience in similar leadership role
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Strong networking and advocacy skills. Capacity to interact and build linkages with officials in government, media persons, national level organisations and international development organizations.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Overall in charge of the festival and forum planning, implementation and sustainability
  • Lead and manage team for meeting CMS VATAVARAN objectives
  • Explore, create and develop new partnership opportunities
  • Formulate strategies, develop concepts and proposals
  • Represent CMS VATAVARAN in various local, national and international forums
  • Contribute in influencing environmental policies through CMS VATAVARAN deliberations and recommendations.


Compensation: Compensation levels are equivalent to market rates within the development sector. However, offers shall be based on salary history, relevant experience and qualifications.

POSITION I : CMS VATAVARAN MANAGER
LOCATION : DELHI

Eligibility:

  • Minimum Diploma/ Post Graduate in Environment or related subjects
  • At least five years of experience in a role promoting /advocating for environment issues.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Having network of environment /conservation organizations & individuals working on various environment and wildlife issues across India.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Planning & Guiding Process: Identifying eminent individuals, experts, corporate, etc for the Steering Committee & Advisory Groups; Conducting meetings; Implementing decisions.
  • Festival & Outreach Programmes: planning & designing programmes,identifying & engaging experts & consultants; identifying & finalizing topics; identifying organizations & institutes for partnering in outreach programmes; and documentation.
  • Support in networking with government, bilateral organizations, corporate, filmmakers, environmentalists, film festivals, media, academia, etc for partnership, organizing joint programmes, promotion, fundraising and participation.
  • Assist in promotion plan and media strategy including developing content for publicity material; content for press kit press meets and online/social media.


POSITION II: CMS VATAVARAN EXECUTIVE
LOCATION : DELHI

Eligibility:

  • Minimum Diploma/ Graduate in Environment or communication related subjects.
  • At least two years of experience in a role promoting /advocating for environment issues. (Experience in event management or PR sector is desirable).
  • Enthusiastic to contribute to environment and wildlife in the country through the medium of films and related communication initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and organize the films selection process including Jury confirmations; meetings and documentation
  • Support organization of festival & Outreach Programmes
  • Assist in planning process in organizing meetings and implementation of decisions
  • Contribute in promotion, including publicizing festivals, nominations, programme registration phase through print, electronic and social media. Support in developing publicity material and dissemination; including interaction with media
  • Documentation of reports, publications, correspondence, expenses, material, etc.
Compensation:
Compensation levels are equivalent to market rates within the development sector. However, offers shall be based on salary history, relevant experience and qualifications. The given posts are based in Delhi; however, the recruited candidates would be required to travel across India and abroad (as required) as part of its travelling edition.

Position: Senior Position at CMS ENVIRONMENT

The CMS ENVIRONMENT team has been involved in multifariously in policy research and programmes evaluation aimed at creating sustainable solutions for environment protection.

Desired Skill set:
CMS Environment Team is looking for Head – Environment who can independently manage teams and research studies/projects. Good understanding and interest of environment issues and challenge is an essential. Excellent communication skills with strong understanding of end to end research, is required. Experience in monitoring & evaluation of development projects is desired. Experiences in handling water, sanitation, climate change and other relevant environmental issues related research projects will be a value addition.

Minimum Experience & Qualification required: The candidates should have minimum relevant experience of at least 10 years in handling research project especially in field of monitoring and evaluation of various environments. Relevant post graduation is a must and any specialized training or PhD is desirable.

Roles & Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for overall team management and development, oversee and implement research studies / projects, resource and business development (proposals and EOI for different ministries and other agencies), developing and achieving team revenue targets, networking with various clients i.e. different ministries, multi-lateral and bi-lateral agencies, etc.
